A fashion watch is an additional way to make name for the brand in a context of marketing.
From the perspective of a sensory consumer a fashion watch has special energy, style, history and status of the brand in which he believes as a consumer.
Does fashion watches have that special magic?
Fashion watch is a pleasant addition to the main purchase. This does not mean that the clients get a watch for free, but nevertheless the price tag on fashion watches is usually quite democratic. Clothing stores always place the watches next to the cashdesk as it is the place where the customer already has an open wallet and a wish to spend money. It is that very moment when a charming watch with logo catches your eye and a modest price tag definitely won’t inflict the damage on a budget.
It sounds tricky, right?
Only partly. Actually marketing is a science helping the customer to part with money with minimum of moral torments and if the customer is ready to spend money on jeans so why not to sell him something else.
The most popular clothing brands have a great power to influence the buyers and that is why we can see their watches not only near the cashdasks but also on the shelves of big watch stores.
The logo of a famous and respected brand on the dial inspires confidence and the belief that the watch is excellent and really high-quality thing. It is true because the trust of customers and a good reputation is the most valuable thing that any brand has. No one will risk of selling cheap and low-quality goods.
By the way, for the same reason fashion watches are not the most expensive on the watch market, yet cost dear. The production of high-quality items cannot be cheap.
Fashion watches are always original. They simply have to have some kind of zest otherwise game isn’t worth the candle.
The watch as a product, its precision, reliability and security is not the producers are concerned about. Being of international standard is enough. But the design definitely has to be exclusive and made to satisfy the consumer of an apparel brand. In other words, the design of the watch should follow the spirit of the brand because fashion watch and suit have to match each other.
And how about the consumer? What is more important to the consumer: design, brand or quality (when we speak about quality we mean international standards)?
I can only speak on my own voice as I am also a consumer. Therefore, my opinion should be taken into consideration. I crap on the precision. I could put up with a difference in a couple of seconds between the time on my watch and the World Clock easily. Nevertheless if I was an adherent of any particular brand (with the exception of the brand Dudeman, of course), I would like to wear branded watch which would have flatter me every time when I need to know what time is it.
